Fixed access networks
Understand the general operation of a Fibre-to-the-Home (FttH) network
Fixed access networks can refer to the copper installations used for telephone and ADSL or the newer fibre networks deployed today. Although there are several ways to deploy a fibre access network, this poster describes the operation of the fibre network as it is deployed in France (GPON), from the connection of a subscriber’s home to the optical connection node (NRO).
